(Francis Alick Howard) born 6 March 1917 in York, died 19 April 1992 - British comedian and cabaret artist. Best known for The Lady Killers, series Carry on..., The Great St.Trinian’s Train Robbery, Jumping for Joy, Further Up the Creek, A Touch of the Sun. During World War II, was appointed to the British Army, where he served in the field of
artistic teams. The cause of his death was a virus, which brought in 1991, with an exotic trip over the Amazon. Died during the same weekend as fellow comedian Benny Hill.
One of the longest ever series of comedy films and parodies made by great set of actors. Each of the films is different story and different set of characters, but the light atmosphere and the dialogues filled with innuendos are the trademarks of Carry On series.
